As Netgear releases new firmware versions to enhance your product performance and features. It is recommended to use an Ethernet cable to connect your computer to your router for updating the firmware. Log into http //www.routerlogin.net or http //www.routerlogin.com from your device which is connected to the network.
Enter the default login details admin and password against the username and password respectively.
Go to Advanced and click and then select Administration.
Click on firmware Update or router Update.
Click check and then click Yes.
The router looks for new firmware on clicking Check and downloads and begins update after clicking yes.
Your router restarts on completion of the upload. The update takes about three to five minutes to complete. Go through the release notes to know if you need to reconfigure the router after the firmware is updated.
